I never liked my eyebrows. They were shaped wrong, and they were too fine to even notice. I decided to try eyebrow embroidery in Singapore. It sounds worse than it is! The treatment is a dye process that can last over a year if you get the touchup at six months. Make sure the dyes your eyebrow artist uses are organic without any chemicals. If you have a health condition, you should ask your doctor first. They call it eyebrow embroidery, but it is just dyes that are placed under the skin.
It is sort of like a tattoo, except it is done to look like the hairs of your eyebrow. You need an artist in the craft to do it. Since it involves putting dyes under your skin with a fine blade, you should be fine if you are also able to get a tattoo without any issues. However, I have no tattoos and neither do my friends. I cleaned up around the house today and then I started working on the storage building. I ended up filling up the trash can very quickly and then I had a big pile of stuff for after the emptied it Monday afternoon. Another pile I put in stuff that I could take to the scrap yard. In fact it is barely worth it with how low scrap metal prices are this exact moment. I think it is around forty cents a pound for aluminum. That is why I started to let the boy down the street take the aluminum cans that we have. We put them in a blue plastic trash can, once I used to crush them up and save them in plastic garbage bags. It used to be well worth the effort, but back then you could get around a dollar a pound for the cans. (more…)
It is so interesting how I need to stay on top of things in the Internet world. And I do exactly that so that I can make sure that I don’t fall prey to any hoaxes. To illustrate, I got an email from firstname.lastname@example.org and I thought it was the real deal. I almost clicked on it to send a reply, before I realized that the email may be from outside source. I went looking, and I found that exact thing to be true.
I love that we have such a great search engine to find out things these days when we are unsure of something. I do searches all the time when I need a definitive answer. (more…)
I decided that it would be a good idea to skip going to a community college and apply for school at a big university instead. I had previously thought about sticking close to home, but when I thought about how a small community college would look on my resume compared to a well-known school, I figured it was best to go with the smarter route. So, that meant apartments for Raleigh NC students was on my schedule after I got into the school there. I could already feel the excitement of the new and upcoming experience before I even set out to find a new place.
My parents were not happy when I told them that I had originally been thinking of staying in a school dorm. I thought dorm living would be just fine, but both mom and dad said they did that when they went to school. (more…)
I am getting ready to set up a home business, since I am not quite ready to retire and I am already collecting a pension from the state of North Carolina. I started working for the Department of Transportation when I was fresh out of college, after having spent a couple of summers working on road crews. I need a few things that I do not already have, my wife thinks that I need a pay stub maker. However I am not really sure if that is something that is going to really be that big of a deal, the first thing is going to be making money. After you figure that out you are going to want to worry about the stuff like that. (more…)
I was downtown the other afternoon and I ran in into this guy I used to work with. We were both in the pharmacy and I looked up and saw him looking at this youtube link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-xrmutu0uq. Of course I did not recognize him until he started talk. This guy has this really unique voice, it is really awesome when where you talk to the girls. He sounds like one of those guys that you hear on the radio voice over thing. Of course he never says the stuff that he needs to say, but it always comes out side ways or something. It is really strange. He has these perfect pipes and the guy can not figure out how to use it. I remember my aunt always wearing bland clothing and not being really talkative at family get-togethers. I did not know it until I was older that she had a very rocky relationship with her husband. He was a rough man that would have been labeled an abuser if he was alive today. He was loud and obnoxious and ruined his liver. A couple of years after he was gone my aunt met a nice man. His personality helped bring her out of her shell to the point she is now fit, has nice hair, wears designer sunglasses and looks like a fashion model every day.
I can hardly believe the transformation. She is now more than willing to join in the conversations at family events, and I found out that she has some strong and quite valid political and other opinions. She is extremely intelligent, and full of life and energy. It just goes to show you that the influence of significant people in your life can make a huge difference in how you express yourself as a person. Her first husband suppressed every good thing about her. (more…)
Did you know that you can turn just about any smartphone into a WiFi hot spot? I didn’t really know about this until one day before Hurricane Sandy hit us – I was on Facebook and saw someone mention something about it for their iPhone. I don’t have an iPhone, just a simple smartphone that allows me to do what I need to do, so I didn’t think much of it.
So, after the Hurricane struck, my Internet went out and it was out for 4 1/2 days – which seemed like forever to me and I was getting quite annoyed at the length of time it took to come back on, considering my neighbors had it and I didn’t. After getting no where with my Internet provider, I decided to do a search on my phone to see if there was anything for my Nokia. Found something and it had rave reviews, so I downloaded it. Not expecting much, I fired up my laptop and turned on this WiFi app and sure enough – I was online! WOOHOO!! (more…)
My apologies to all my followers – I thought I had set this to go out a few weeks ago, but apparently it never made it – so here is my long over due post.
A few weeks ago I was on a webinar by my good buddy Chris Farrell. He had a guest speaker who is a “Pinterest Specialist” and was giving us tips and tricks on how to get sales and traffic to our websites.
Considering that I didn’t know a whole lot about Pinterest and really thought you couldn’t sell or market your business on there, I never even looked into it further than recipes, diy stuff, etc…kinda seemed like a waste to me. But, let me tell ya, I am really glad I attended that webinar. (more…)
Sorry for the delay in writing my first post of the year. As many of you know, I have a new blog, which I recently gave a makeover to and been posting there twice a week to try to gain some sales. I must admit that it gets hard trying to figure out what to write about.
I discovered something while blog hopping with that blog and realized that many people don’t really know how to blog. So, I am going to write a short eBook that will be published on Amazon. (more…)
